Ride Through Spring with MACKandgold's 'The Middle'

 

As spring approaches, so too does MACKandgold’s music video for a song off of her Take Solace EP.

“The Middle” is an electronic-pop track with hints of country in its pronunciation. This heartfelt song focuses on the reconciliation of a broken relationship, or in other words, finding the “middle ground.”

“The Middle” is a gentle track. If it isn’t the spacey strings plucked far in the background, then it’s Mackenzie Graham’s own vocals cutting through the foreground. “The Middle” makes the most by using the least with a simple melody that perfectly captures the spring feeling it aims for.

The music video catches that same feeling with Mackenzie skating down a highway in her socks. The yellow-tint of the video, the carefree nature, and the wide-open fields landscaped only adds to the seasonal tone. A golden vibrance shines through the video that provides such a fitting image for the song that we highly view it as the definitive way of appreciating the song.
