Easily one of the most recognizable and loved venues in LA’s music scene, The Smell celebrated another beautiful year on earth this weekend. We missed night one of the party but were able to catch the second night which featured Retox, Kuromi, Shannon Lay, Trap Girl, and Verbs.

One of our favorite things about The Smell is the diverse spectrum of music that it showcases night after night - some (edit: most) venues are quick to look over smaller or more experimental acts but The Smell embraces them and in turn, gives artists (big or small) a platform to create, perform, and get involved with a community dedicated to art. Despite turning 21 this year the legendary space remains all ages, alcohol free, and drug free welcoming people from all walks of life to enter it’s doors.

Having first walked through those doors ourselves a little over half a decade ago, we would like to wish The Smell the best this year and thank everyone who runs it for providing such a great and accessible space that inspires us constantly.
