The Los Angeles psychedelic-fused rock group, Frankie and the Witch Fingers, advances their groove-driven discography with their newest album, Monsters Eating People Eating Monsters.

Monsters Eating People Eating Monsters is a 10-track list of bangers refusing to drag its feet in a common sound. Psychedelic rock defines the album, but it shifts, interrupts,
and paces itself at a new tempo every turn. And yet, traces of Jazz ebb and flow throughout the forty-five minute runtime, seeping deeper into some tracks while lost in others.

If the album is anything, it’s dramatic. A good drama, one that draws you to the edge of your seat as the music accumulates and builds, then retreats and holds your breath, before exploding into a sonical climax. This cinematic quality of this record brushes in a very unique and palpable energy to its production.

At times, the cutting-sharp vocals and poignantly reflective lyrics about inner vision, absorption, and our very reality itself, are all drowned out by the thunderous production that decorates Monsters Eating People Eating Monsters into an engrossing record. This chaos rhymes itself into a lively groove that doesn’t easily get old, and offers a deeper look into the lyrics themselves.

Frankie and the Witch Finger’s Monsters Eating People Eating Monsters is the definition of all killer, no filler. The precision in the album, from the musical production to the lyrics, are well executed and leaves little room for criticism. Psychedelic rock fans will find the record very impressive, and yet-to-be fans might find their first love in the genre here with Frankie and the Witch Finger’s impressive release.
