In the third and final music video from their 2019 EP GOOD LUCK!LA art-rock trio PUNK CRUSH battle cosmic curses as they seek advice from powers we don’t yet fully understand. Directed by frequent collaborator Ann Molin and featuring maniacal-tarot-readings, ceremonial face-paint, and Ms. Cleo's Psychic Hot Line, the bands latest music video is sure to bring you front and center to a world of spiritual chaos - fueled by a world of corporate chaos. While PUNK CRUSH have managed to turn the macabre into a visually-exciting display of frantic situations in their music videos, the band lyrics on GOOD LUCK! tend to deal with the human condition and it’s difficulties. Below is what lead guitarist and songwriter G Leonardo had to say about the very-relatable-unless-you’re-a-billionare lyrics to ‘Corporate America’
“Corporate America is about the crushing feeling of having to work to survive, but still barely surviving. I wrote it when I was feeling trapped by my job and how the vicious cycle of work, rent/bills, no money, work harder made me absolutely exhausted physically and mentally, enough to where I couldn’t even enjoy making music or spending time with people I love. It was a way for me to release some of this despair and in the process I learned that there were so many people that felt (and still feel) like me, which was incredibly encouraging and kept me going!”
