The Los Angeles based band, Peach Kelli Pop, has dropped the lead single from their forthcoming album, Lucky Star. The single, “Cut Me Off” precedes the album two months from its October release date, and shows a more relaxed but still ever-stylish side of the band.

Peach Kelli Pop’s discography can best be described as a playful mix of garage rock, bubblegum, and in some ways, surf rock. “Cut Me Off” is no different, but in comparison to the band’s previous record, Gentle Leader, the single shows more direction and reservation than the group’s typical style.

However, the band has dabbled in slower songs before, so perhaps Peach Kelli Pop may not be teasing a change to their style, but rather a total improvement on it. It has been two years since Gentle Leader, after all, so Lucky Star has had time to refine itself and grow.

If you’re looking for some rock that’s cool, energetic, jovial, and for a lack of better words, pink, look no further than “Cut Me Off.” And if you’re looking for the next best album to look forward to, then mark your calendars for October 9th when Peach Kelli Pop’s album, Lucky Star, releases!
