With a lineup of 400+ bands and artists from around the world and endless event programming that nearly everyone can enjoy, Boise’s Treefort is one of the most stacked music festivals in the entire United States. Amidst our time spent there with Shutups, we took advantage of the massive bill and caught as many sets as we possibly could.
From local favorites Death Lens to legendary acts such as Guided by Voices, Kim Gordon, and Deerhoof, the five-day festival was filled with show-stopping performances. We also witnessed some of today’s biggest names in indie music, including Indigo De Souza, Snail Mail, Spirit of the Beehive, and psych-garage heroes Osees–and just why their names are on everyone’s tongues. And, of course, we discovered plenty of new favorites, like Seattle glitch-punks Flesh Produce.
The folks at Treefort know how to up the ante every year, and we can’t wait to see who and what they have in store for festival-goers over the course of their next decade of bringing music lovers and creatives together.
